Clarkson for President?

According to this post on Autoblog, which is based off a twitter post, Clarkson is thinking about running for parliament. I say we bring him here, forge a birth certificate, and make him the President of the United States.

Oh god! As far as terrible ideas go, this really is a bad one. Have you read any of his books? I really like him, I therefore read all of his books, and I have to say that, not unlike small children, there are things in this world that we have to keep him away from. Like, let's say, commanding a real army.

I like his "The World according to Clarkson" series. They are about 2 years worth of his Sunday Times columns collected in one book. The other books are a fun read as well, but that's where I'd start.
